Thanks so much for this article. I had this happen to me tonight where a friend posted a photo of her <4 year old in a back seat not in any kind or restraint or booster, cross legged and with the chest belt tucked behind the seat and the lapbelt twisted, loose and over his belly. I NEEDED to say something but didn't know how to go about doing it until another friend sent me this link.

It’s painfully apparent that you have never seen a woman breastfeeding in public, or else you wouldn’t ponder about “naked ladies in th emall”. Or rather, you probably HAVE seen breastfeeding in public but because it was done discreetly, you were unaware that the hcild was doing anything more than snuggling against their mother. To compare breastfeeding to mking love, urinating, or defecating is just plain ignorance. YOU eat in public I assume, so why shouldn’t a baby be allowed to do the same? Should all breastfeeding mothers hide away till their child is weaned or, in the case othose of us who nurse well into the toddler years, till our children no longer have need to nurse while we’re out and about?

You know what makes me happy? Knowing that breastfeeding and breastfeeding in public is never going to stop. Ever. No matter how many ignorant people exist, it will persevere because the knowledge will continue to pass down generation from generation and women will continue to feed their hungry babies no matter what. I can understand being modest, I am a very modest person but like all breastfeeding mothers, I don’t nurse in public to put on a show.

Hearing people say breastfeeding is disgusting, wow. That I can’t possibly understand. It really is no one’s business how a child is fed as long as they are being fed. It is of no concern to anyone else. I am also sick and tired of how it’s somehow become socially acceptable to say breastfeeding is disgusting, but if I said formula feeding is disgusting, I would be lambasted.

Yes, Amanda, I’m a voyeuristic hippie. The female anatomy, in and of itself, neither shocks nor disgusts me. Breasts were not made for procreation. They were made for sustaining human infants. My breasts, even my nipples, are no more sexual than a mans. I’m saddened that our (male dominated) society has convinced you otherwise. 100 years ago it was immodest for a woman to expose her ankle. In the 1920s a woman’s exposed calf was scandalous. I’m willing to bet that, by those standards, you’re an exhibitionist yourself.

p.s. I don’t want to see you slurping from the fountain, but I respect your basic human right to drink water. Respect my child’s right to do drink milk. From the tap.

While I believe that no one, including babies should have to eat in a bathroom, moms who choose to breastfeed should definitely not breastfeed in public. As a woman, I would never invite perfect strangers to look at my bare body parts. It is indecent to be naked in public. Also, breast feeding is very intimate, but you don’t see me making love to my boyfriend in public. Or having other intimate moments in public. You don’t pick your nose, deficate, urinate or readjust your body in public? Would you adjust your underwear or stockings in public? Would you be appalled to see a man rearrange his testicles in public? That is natural, and needs to e done, but it is just not appropriate for public areas. There is no reason you can’t prepare bottles beforehand and use them for the public. Furthermore, should other people’s young children, who most likely are not mature enough to

Im 18, dont have any credit, however I can make a good down payment, and I can afford monthly payments. I was told I COULD laid the machine in my name but id need a co-signer. Does the co-signers credit score have to be over 500? Are there some brands of autos that are less stricter than others in terms of this as far as credit scores? Any thoughts you have on what I can do, please tell me!.
