child slave labor huh ?reminds me of when sally struthers went on rampage to shut down a levi's plant (or was it niki?)for slave labor for only paying the kids $1 an hour......the average rate of pay for that country.... .31cents per hour....the kids were some of the highest paid employee's in the country....but...after sally....jobless...pretty sad, these 'slaves' were working to feed there families....the company also provided healthcare for them and there families...all gone because someone couldn't get it through there heads that not every country has the same economic status as the u.s.
without companies like nestle providing jobs in these little countrys people, ..and children...starve,get no health care and end up living on the streets or dead.look at what they are REALLY doing rather than following hype.

Glad you found a booster seat.

For booster seats with high height to accomodate older/taller children, the Sunshine Kids (or now known as Diono) Monterey and the Britax Parkway are good options.

The Britax Frontier is actually the booster seat with the highest shoulder-belt slots but it is a 5-pt harness seat convertible into a booster seat thereafter, so it would not make sense to buy one just as a booster but might be a good option to consider for those shopping for a 5-pt harness/booster combination seat.

How can you possibly compare going to the toilet with eating? Would you say it was disgusting if you were watching kittens feed from their mother? Would you tell the mother cat to “Have some dignity and discretion” I'm pretty sure you wouldn't! We are all just feeding our babies, get a grip!! If you don't like it, cover your own face!

I am absolutely sickened by public breastfeeding. The milk itslef actually smells really gross. And also, the sicking sound is soooo annoying (it's like smacking on chewing-gum). I hate the sound, smell, and sight of it. All I g=can thinnk when I see it happen in public is "Have some dignity and discretion". Just because pooping is a natural body function, too, doesn't meaning I want to watch it, smell it, or hear the sound of it occurring. Yuck.

It's funny to me that I've seen this cover posted all over the place, but no one even comments on the article. I haven't read it (although I'm curious to). I think you're absolutely right that it's just a cry for attention to stir up controversy and sell more magazines. Ahh American journalism at its finest. When you have nothing to say, sensationalize!

I love the notion, hate the picture. I know that it's supposed to be inflammatory so that it will attract more readers to it. Shocking sells, we all know that. Sadly, the number of people who will make a snap judgment based on the photo alone far outnumbers that of the people who will actually read the the article and take something from it.
In general, it's going to be a fail.

I think that the title of the article is inflammatory. Mothering is hard, no matter if you follow Baby Wise, if you are more of an AP follower, or if you made the ultimate gift of placing your child in the arms of an adoptive family.

As far as the picture goes, my son (15mths) like to catch a drink while standing on our bed and me standing next to the bed (certainly makes getting ready difficult).

Mothers need to support each other not attack each other. We can all learn from each other without judging each other for choices that we have made when it comes to breastfeeding - especially extended breastfeeding or tandem nursing.
